So in our opening study, we discover that God is in us, and that we have been cut out of the special purpose in Him. Now let us continue with our test:
After 1 Chronicles Chapter 17:
19 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage: Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God sis with you wherever you go.
Can we now see that God has a plan for our lives and that we can only fulfil it by His strength?
This is repeated in the New Testament statement by Jesus, and by Paul the Apostle:
Matthew 28 V 20:
20 And lo, I AM with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.
Remember our previous quotation of Paul in:
1 Corinthians 6 V 19:
19 Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.. Do we see what we need in order to accomplish this?
Do we see how that the promises in the Old Testament had become fact in the New Testament? Therefor making both the Old and New Testaments relevant for our lives today, just as much as they were for Israel back in those times!
Now, on to verses 7 and 8:
7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
What was the difference about Nathan which caused God to speak to him, and not to David direct?
Deuteronomy 28 V 13:
13 And the Lord will make yo the head and not the tail, you shall be above only and not beneath.
Isaiah 40 v 31:
31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall most up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
So then we now know that God Himself, is our strength, but look now at this section of the verse in the New International Versions - They will soar on wings like eagle. The Macquarie Dictionary says - to soar is to “fly at a great heart, as a bird”.
And did you know that the eagle is a bird of prey? Now you may be wondering “what has this go to do with the study? A fair question deserves a fair answer.
The mighty eagle needs to find food. But he won’t find it by walking around, plus he will be susceptible to other predators. So he takes flight an soars over the landscapes and mountains, then with his sharp vision, spots his pray, a field mouse, on the ground and swoops down to take his prize.
Are you an Eagle or a Field Mouse?
Now look at this in spiritual terms - wait on the Lord, ask Him to let you soar over your problems, trails, hurts, etc, by His Spirit, and through His eyes see the answer! Then swoop down in the Spirit and claim that victory! Then give God the praise and glory for it. Amen.
How would you change your current situation, and apply studies 1 and 2 to your life?
Nope notice in Verse 8, of our text, it says:
8 "And have cut off all your enemies from before you”. Who hare your enemies? Satan, Evil Spirits, Demons, The Powers and Principalities of the Air, and our own flesh, desires, along with diverse diseases and death, and emotions.
The above analogy of the mighty Eagle’s sharp eye and ability to soar far above all situations, shows us that for us “In God, nothing is impossible or insurmountable. Though our enemies would have us think this, it really isn’t so.
