  • 7 PRINCIPLES OF PRAYER - DR. MYLES MUNROE

The dictionary and concordance gives us an extensive explanation which we all go into over the course of these lessons.  Suffice as to say, in all major events in human history, it all begins with PRAYER.

When we ask God with a RIGHT HEART ATTITUDE, for the the RIGHT REASONS, AND, IN LINE WITH HIS WORD AND HIS WILL, God answers the prayers of His people.

DEMONSTRATION: THE LORD’S PRAYER:

MATTHEW 6 V 5-15

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

A shorter version is in Luke 11 V 2-4:

LUKE 11:2-4

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Give us day by day our daily bread.

And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

In the preceding verses Matthew 6:5-8, Jesus sets out the attitude and parameters of PRAYER.

  1. Matthew 6 Verse 5: Jesus says regarding the pharisees and all religious people, “proud hypocrites” who pray openly in public to be seen of people, Jesus says “truly they have their rewards”.

We see in Isaiah 58 V 1-2: God is challenging His people to examine their faith to determine if they are truly seeking God, or if it is false, so as to appear committed and devout to God.

So then the contrast here, which Jesus was teaching the people, and also us, is that we are to see God daily and delight in Him and not in MOTIVES, so as to be genuinely real with our God, rather than to put on a “public show, an outward show” to appear righteous, like the religious people do, want be be seen of the people.

  1. Matthew 6 Verse 6: Here Jesus is instructing us to seek God in seclusion, away from people.  That He may reward you openly.

Acts 10 V 9:

On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

We se that Peter prayed to God in Private, away from people and distractions.  Jesus Himself went aside alone to pray, the bible records 9 times.  He prayed before, during, and after major events and ministry.  He prayed 3 times in the Garden of Gesthemane as we see recorded in:

Matthew 26 V 42-46:

42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

Mark 6 V 46-47:

46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

47 And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.

John 6 V 15.

15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

There are many other scriptures of Jesus praying alone.

As a footnote, the number 9 in many spiritual and mystical traditions means the completion.

  1. Matthew 6 Verses 7 & 8: Jesus now emphasises that we should not use long wordy prayers, as they can delude or persuade us to formalise our prayers, thinking God will all the more hear us.  Keep your prayers brief, as God has already heard you.  Jesus does not want us to fill our prayers with wordy jargon, also to be lengthy repetition.  He also tells us that our motives need to be right and sincere, and not like the hypocrites do.

In these preceding scriptures, as mentioned at the start of our study, Jesus Himself is teaching g us of the important principles for us to have in our prayer life.

THE LORD’S PRAYER - MATTHEW 6 V 9-13

  1. V 9: “Our Father Who Art In Heaven, Hallowed By Thy Name” - This is recognising God and giving Him adoration, giving God Glory in your life as your sovereign Lord, our creator God.  Set Apart, Holy, Qadesh.

Numbers 27 V 16:

“Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh”.  This is establishing who God is.

  1. Matthew 6 V 10: “Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done on Earth As It Is In Heaven." This is consecration, which is to be made Holy, or separated from things unclean.  We also see our submission to His Will for our lives.

  1. Matthew 6 Verse 11: “Give US This Day Our Daily Bread”.  This is supplication, which is asking for food, healing, and deliverance.

Mark 7 V 25-29: In verse 27, Jesus refers to healing and deliverance as being the children’s food.  Our healing and deliverance, our “Daily Bread”.

  1. Matthew 6 Verse 12: “And Forgive Us Our Debts, As We Forgive Our Debtors”.  This is asking for divine pardon of our sins and wrong deeds.  This is also “Intercession” between an angry God and an offender.

  1. Matthew 6 Verse 13: “And Lead Us Not Into Temptation, But Deliver Us from Evil, For Thine Is The Kingdom, and The Power, and The Glory, Forever and Even, Amen!”.  This is asking for our sovereign Holy God’s divine protection, from the very real kingdom of satan, and his myriad of temptations in our lives.

Our Heavenly Father through JESUS CHRIST, has given us redemption and resurrection, in the death on the cross, plus new life to Him in Jesus’ resurrection, then infilling of His Holy Spirit, when Jesus went to God’s right hand in Heaven.  He also gave us His spiritual amour in:

Ephesians 6 V 10-18:

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Jesus Taught Us About Prayer:

  1. Universal Father

  2. Holy, Divine God, Provider

  3. Forgiveness or Pardon or Redeemer

  4. Divine Deliverer, Sovereign God

  5. Power and Glory Forever

In Matthew 6 V 14-15: We are given a stern and frightening warning concerning our hearts and mindsets.

Matthew 6 Verse 14 - we are to forgive those who sin against us, so that God will forgive us.

Matthew 6 Verse 15 - If we do not forgive those who sin against use then God will not forgive our sins agains Him,

Further Prayer Scriptures:

Luke 6 V 5-13:

And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.

And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.

But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

Luke 3 V 21-22:

21 Now when all the people were baptised, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptised, and praying, the heaven was opened,

22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

Luke 5 V 16:

16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

Matthew 14 V 23:

23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Mark 6 V 46:

46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

Luke 6 V 12-13:

12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

Matthew 11 V 25-30:

25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 26 V 26-30:

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

Luke 8 V 28-32:

28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

John 11 V 41-44:

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Luke 11 V 1-4:

1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

Matthew 19 V 13-14:

13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.

14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

John 12 V 27-28:

27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

John 13 V 31:

31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

John 14 V 12-14:

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

FOUR (4) PATTERNS OF PRAYER:

ADORATION - This is to pray honour to God, as a Divine Being, Worship or Reverent Homage, to Praise our God and Father, Creator as a Triune God, for creating in us a new heart, for creating the universe and this Earth, and creating us in His Image and Likeness!

Genesis 1 V 26:

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

He made us a 3 Part or Aspect Living Being like Himself, with the ability to have a nature like His.  We are Spirit - Soul - and Body.

John 1 V 1-3:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Think of it in this Light, The Word.  The Word was with God - The Word Was God.  3 Persons of the One Being.

We are praising God’s very nature and holiness, with all of our heartfelt emotions and minds and words.

Example is The Song of Moses found in:

Exodus 15 V 1-21:

1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.

The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.

Thy right hand, O Lord, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.

The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

10 Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.

11 Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.

13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.

15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.

16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O Lord, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.

17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.

18 The Lord shall reign for ever and ever.

19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the Lord brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

21 And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

Hannah’s Prayer of Praise to God Found in:

1 Samuel 2 V 1-2:

1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

John 4 V 24 - God is Spirit - Worship in Spirit and Truth.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

CONFESSION

A public or private acknowledgement of our sins - failings - or wrongdoings and thoughts, in order to obtain divine pardon or forgiveness.

Matthew 18 V 21-22:

21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Psalm 86 v 5:

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Mark 11 V25:

25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

THANKSGIVING

To express gratitude to God for what He has done or for what we ask of Him, a safe trip home, the meal we are eating or sharing.

Psalm 95 V 2:

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

2 Corinthians 9 V 11:

11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

1 Timothy 4 V 4-5:

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Psalm 106 V 1:

106 Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

SUPPLICATION

Is to earnestly and humbly beg, to pleas or to entreat one in power to help.  It can be also be petitioning in prayer to humbly ask for something.  This can also include a prayer of INTERCESSION on behalf of others.

ADORATION, CONFESSIONS, THANKSGIVING, SUPPLICATION - Practice these patterns of prayer, ask the Holy Spirit for help with your prayers.

THE NATURE OF PRAYER:

Prayer is a noun, a name of something we do.  It is also an adjective, an action or an activity we do.

Prayer is also conversational, it is to be talking with someone, as in a couple or group, family expressing our thoughts, feelings, emotions, ideas and our hopes.

This is our relationship with God.

Prayer is also relational - Though as a noun to be called “A Relationship”, it can also be and adjective, describing an action, like the above statement, as a conversation to build a relationship between two people, or between us and God.

These are speaking and listening activities in discussing each other’s feelings, hopes, desires, emotions, ideas and thoughts where both parties take turns to speak and to listen most earnestly to each other, thus getting to know each other on a deeper level.

Proverbs 4 V 20-21:

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

Psalm 78 V 1:

1 Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

Listen where God speaks to you.

Jeremiah 33 V 3:

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Luke 8 v 11:

11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

These attributes are also aspects of wisdom.

PRAYER IS DIVERSE!

Here are 11 Points:

  1. Worship Prayers:

As we interact with God in prayer, we can focus on giving God our worship, our adoration, keeping our focus on God’s majesty and adoration of Him.  This then:

A) Nurtures relationships with God and each other.

B) We get a sense of purpose and identity within our community.

C) We can understand their shared community.

D) Link up people throughout the world church.

E) Send out missionaries into the world and the community.

John 4 V 23-24:

God is Spirit, and should be worshipped in Spirit and Truth.

Romans 8:26-27:

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

The Spirit of God intercedes on behalf of those who pray.  We have a spiritual dawning.

Isaiah 60 V 1-3:

1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

  1. Adoration Prayers

This type of prayer focuses on acknowledging God’s greatness, majesty and holiness, expressing awe and reverence.

  1. Thanksgiving Prayers

The Lord delivered us from satan, our enemy.  The Lord has brought His people out of Egypt’s oppression and slavery.  He has brought us out of the dry deserts, out of hunger and brought us back from being scattered throughout the world.

Psalm 107 V 1-9:

1 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Exodus 12 V 51:

51 And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

Exodus 13 V 14:

14 And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the Lord brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

So then we have cause to be thankful to God in all things, as he has delivered us from our troubles.

Isaiah 61 V 1-11:

61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.

10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Give thanks with a grateful heart, as the song says.  God repairs the ancient ruins.  These are the ruins of our souls and mindsets of our ancestors right up to today.  Give Thanks!

  1. Praise

Psalm 134 V 1-3:

1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

Praise and bless the Lord.  Praise Him by lifting Holy Hands.

These are actually seven (7) positions of praise that we can practice or do:

  1. Sitting

  2. Standing

  3. Kneeling

  4. Bowing

  5. Laying Prostrate

  6. Dancing

  7. Raising Your Hands = Yadah (Confession about God)

These can be incorporated in our time of worship also.  Hence we have praise and worship.  Our praises can and indeed should be dynamic with God.

Finally, to finish off the 7 Positions in Hebrews:

Halal - To jump, dance, loud praise

Psalm 150 V 2:

Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Yadah - Hands Up and Forward, making confession about God

Psalm 25 V 1:

25 Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

Towdah - Lifting Hands Up in Thanksgiving

Psalm 107 V 22:

22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

Shabach - Loud, Joyous Shout of Testimony

Psalm 145 V11:

11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

Zamar - Worship playing instruments

Psalm 98 V 4:

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Barak - Kneel in Reverence and Submission

Psalm 66 V 20:

20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

Tehillah - Spontaneous Worship Singing from Your Spirit

Psalm 22 V3:

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

  1. Confession:

A formal admission of guilt/sin, it is a daily personal confession too ??God, of anything that we have done, read, seen, thought, heard or spoken, which is not in line with God’s Word and Will for our lives.  Also for taking on acting upon any emotional baggage or thoughts that are not ours.

1 John 1 V 9:

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Philippians 2 V 12-17:

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

  1. Petition

Petition is a prayer where you ack God for specific needs, whether for yourself or others, seeking guidance, healing or provision.

Petition is what many people imagine when they think about prayer. It means asking God for something, whether for yourself or someone else. And God certainly wants us to do this! Philippians 4:6 tells us to let our requests be known to God. But prayer is not just about asking God to do things for us – it’s just one of the many ways that He wants us to communicate with Him. Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of petition.

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord.

23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

26 And the Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:

28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

29 And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.

30 And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

In Mark 10:51, Jesus asked a blind man, “What do you want me to do for you?”

God knows our every need and the desire of our hearts, yet He wants us to have a conversation with Him and ask Him for those needs.

What needs and desires do you have that you can ask Him for today? Come to Him with a thankful heart, and write down what you’ve asked Him for after you’ve prayed.

When you receive an answer to that prayer (whether it is yes, no, or wait), write it down. You’ll be amazed when you look back at how Jesus comes alongside you and answers you.

  1. Intercession

Intercession is praying on behalf of others, seeking God’s blessing and well being for them.

"to make intercession"; originally "to strike upon," or "against"; then in a good sense, "to assail anyone with petitions," "to urge," and when on behalf of another, "to intercede" (

16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

Jeremiah 27:18

18 But if they be prophets, and if the word of the Lord be with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

15 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?

And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

12 Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

A similar idea is found in enteuxis, used as "petition," and in the New Testament "intercession."

The English word is derived from Latin intercedo, "to come between," which strangely has the somewhat opposed meanings of "obstruct" and "to interpose on behalf of" a person, and finally "to intercede."

The growth of meaning in this word in the various languages is highly suggestive. In the Greek New Testament we find the word in 1 Timothy 2:14:5; entugchano, is also found in Romans 8:26-34.

The meaning of the word is determined by its use in 1 Timothy 2:1,

"I exhort, therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, be made for all and men"; where the different kinds of prayers appear to be distinguished.

Considerable discussion has arisen on the exact meaning of these words. Augustine refers them to the liturgy of the Eucharist. This seems to be importing the significance of the various parts of the ceremony as observed at a time much later than the date of the passage in question. "Supplications" and "prayers" refer to general and specific petitions; "intercessions" will then have the meaning of a request concerning others.

Intercession is prayer on behalf of another, and naturally arises from the instinct of the human heart--not merely prompted by affection and interest, but recognising that God's relation to man is not merely individual, but social.

Religion thus involves man's relations to his fellow-man, just as in man's social position intercession with one on behalf of another is a common incident, becoming, in the development of society, the function of appointed officials; as in legal and courtly procedure, so in religion, the spontaneous and affectionate prayer to God on behalf of another grows into the regular and orderly service of a duly appointed priesthood.

  1. Contrition

This prayer type involves acknowledging your sins and expressing remorse, seeking forgiveness and a renewed heart.

Contrition is the feeling of remorse and the desire to repent of sin. You are probably familiar with prayers like this, which ask God for forgiveness for things we have done. They are essential prayers that allow us to confess our wrongdoing and reconnect with our forgiving Heavenly Father. Psalm 51 tells us that when we mess up, God desires “a broken and contrite heart” from us. Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of prayers of contrition or asking for forgiveness.

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

It’s often difficult to admit that we have made mistakes or sinned. God already knows every nuance of you, your day, and what you have thought or done. When you bring those things to Him, He offers you forgiveness and freedom from them. Take a few moments to think through your day and week. Are there things for which you need to ask forgiveness? Are there unresolved things from your past that you want God to forgive?

  1. Lament

Lament is a form of prayer where you express sorrow, pain, ad despair, acknowledging your struggles and seeking comfort and strength from God.

God wants us to bring our fears, doubts, and despair to Him. In 1 Peter 5:7, we are told to cast all our anxieties on Him. We see countless examples of lament in the Bible, where faithful followers of God wrestled with doubts, difficulty, and even depression. An entire book of the Bible is called Lamentations, after all! Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of lament and sorrow and how we can approach God while feeling that way.

O lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:

Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;

For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.

I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:

Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.

Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.

Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.

Remember, O Lord, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.

Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.

We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.

We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.

Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest.

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Has your heart been heavy and burdened lately?

Know that God’s arms are a safe place, and His listening ear is there for you. How can you tailor these laments to fit your current situation, feelings, and needs?

  1. Deliverance

Prayers of deliverance are similar to prayers of petition. They are requests made to God to save us or others from challenging or dangerous situations. But they also acknowledge that we can do nothing apart from God and that He has the power to save. These prayers are all over the Bible – especially in King David’s Psalms. Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of prayers for deliverance.

Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly,

And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.

Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.

I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.

When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.

They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.

10 And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

Think back to a time when you were in a dangerous or difficult situation and needed help. Did you cry out to God for help?

How did He answer?

Are you in a situation now that feels hopeless unless He intervenes?

Are there things in your life from which you need to find freedom?

Struggles you have from which you need deliverance?

Ask Him for what you need and set it before His feet.

Trust that He will help you and ask Him to speak to you.

  1. Guidance

The last of the types of prayer that we will cover are prayers for guidance. Similar to prayers for deliverance, these conversations with God allow us to acknowledge God’s sovereignty. We can express that He knows best and that we trust him to direct our lives when we ask Him for guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us that we should not lean on our own understanding, but instead trust in the Lord with all our heart. Check out these three prayers from the Bible for examples of prayers for guidance.

And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.

In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.

And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.

And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

“Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”

23 O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

24 O Lord, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.

God sent His Holy Spirit to live in your heart when you asked Jesus into your life. He promises that if we ask for wisdom and guidance, He will give it generously (James 1:5).

Where do you need guidance in your life today? Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you, give you the knowledge and wisdom you need, and provide you with direction.

You can create a fun visual of the directions God gives you by creating a map.

Start where you are and draw a path where His Spirit leads you as He guides you.

Drawing a map can be a fun way to detail the journey and a way to look back on how He navigates you through life’s twists and turns.

SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF PRAYER - Inspired by the works of:

DR. MYLES MUNROE.

  1. The Legal Authority To Dominate Earth was given only to mankind - Humans (Adam), Notice not to disembodied spirits, but to flesh and blood.

AUTHORITY - The power or right to give orders and make decisions and enforce obedience to take action and jurisdiction.

Legitimate power of a person or group over other people.  Latin - Auctor/Originator/Promoter. Authority refers to Accepted Power.

Having the right or power to DO IT.

DOMINION - Is to have power and influence over. Latin = Dominus - Dominat - Ruled or Governed.  It means to Command, Control, Dictate, Influence, Lead, Manage, Monopolise Overshadow, Prevail, Rule, Strong Matches.

DESIGNATED - To officially choose or appoint someone or something for a specific purpose or rule.  Where an employer, or in this case a Creator (God) specifies that a role is to be give to a person (Adam) with a particular characteristic. (Image and Likeness of God).

  1. God did not include Himself in the Legal Authority Structure over Earth.

Genesis 1 V 26-28:

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Mankind - Human beings, are made in God’s own image and likeness.  We look like God and we have been given authority like God to have dominion over the Earth and ALL OF CREATION.  In verse 28, God commanded us to be fruitful, to multiply, replenish the Earth and have Dominion.  From the Latin word “Plenus” - Old French “Supply Abundantly”.  God gave Humanity the preeminence over creation in his stead or place.

This means - The fact of surpassing all others, or superiority.  This is a lofty word meaning the Highest Place of Ascendancy, Above All, Over All, Surpassing All to the point that nothing and no one else can even come close.

  1. Mankind Had Become The Legal Stewards of the entire creation - Air, Land and Sea.  All of Earth.  This was God’s plan for us, in His stead or absence fro the Physical World.  Remembering that God Himself is Spirit, not flesh.  This links us with Number 4 in that we are a Tri Partite Being.  Spirit, Soul and Body.

1 Thessalonians 5 v 23:

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  1. Only Spirits In Bodies Have Authority.  Now before we go on to our 4th point, let’s look at Adam & Eve’s situation and authority.  Can you imagine their relationship with God, and Creation?  They had a daily time with God in the Garden in the cool of the day.  God gave them full preeminent authority until they sinned with the Tree of Knowledge, at which time they lost good standing with God.  Yet Mankind still has authority in this world, they just need to work hard to live off the land etc.  So principally, number 4 is that only spirits in the physical body is legal on Earth.  Remember in point number 2 that God did not include Himself in this authority.

  1. Any Spirit Without A Body Is Illegal On Earth.  Now then!  This is not to say that God cannot operate on or in His creation.

Romans 8 V 9:

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

The Spirit of God, The Holy Spirit that is;

Romans 8 V13:

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Through the Spirit we subdue the deeds of the body.  Now we know that the second Adam, Jesus, restored us to God and God to us, by His crucifixion and Resurrection, also by giving us the Holy Spirit.  So now we have our spiritual and physical relationship restored.  Now this scripture needs to be looked at the balance things a little.

1 Corinthians 15 V 46:

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

The body came first as we see in:

Genesis 1 V 26:

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 2 V 7:

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God made man from the dust of the ground, then breathed into His body the breath of life.  God actually breathed His life, His Spirit into man.

Genesis 2 V 21-25:

21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

God made woman from Adam’s side, and Adam said being of my bone, flesh of my flesh, and they became one flesh before God as the first husband and wife, thereby sharing dominion of and over all the Earth.

  1. Any Supernatural Influence On Earth Is Only Legal Through A Human Body - Demons and evil spirits can cause one to be physically and mentally sick.  As we have seen in scripture with a boy convulsing and throwing himself in the fire:

Mark 9 V 22-29:

22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

The madman of the Gadarenes;

Matthew 8 V 28-34:

28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

30 And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.

31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

33 And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.

34 And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

The man with spirits cast out, where Jesus Christ warns the spirit will come back to a swept clean house, with others with it, and that man can be in a worse state than before.

Matthew 12 V 43-45:

43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Now to clarify something here - they can only return if a person remains cleaned out, but empty with a lack of commitments, such as no spiritual conviction and dedication to God.  The person is indifferent yet spiritually receptive.  These demobs and evil spirits are actually disembodied beings or personalities.  They once had bodies, therefore they once could live as we live - like lie, steal, kill, have sex and families etc.  In fact, some believe they were suddenly disembodied in the flood, but they no longer have a legal right to influence this world, infuses they are in a physical human body.

The fallen angels still have bodies, and are the rulers and principalities in Heavenly Realism with the demons (disembodied spirits) and spirits doing as they command them.

  1. God Made Himself Subject To This Law - In the beginning when God created Mankind in Eden;

Genesis 1 & 2 - they had fellowship relationship together.  God gave Adam and Even dominion over the Air, Land, Sea and All Creatures Therein.

Genesis 3 V 8 - there is at the implication that God Himself would walk in fellowship relationship with Adam and Eve, in the Garden in the cool of the day.  However, as we read on into this verse, we see that they disobeyed God’s common, and therefore this holy relationship and dominion authority was broken.  This broke the influence God had with Mankind as He had given us a free will, to choose right from wrong and do as we please.

We are reminded of this in:

Genesis 1 V 26-31: (Dominion)

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Now to finish off, we see Jesus Christ as the second and last Adam.

Romans 5, we see the pattern God gave us in His son Jesus, to be restored to a right relationship with Him.  Just as Adam was before the fall from grace and relationship with God.  So Jesus has come to restore us to God.

Isaiah 43 V 18-19 - Forget the former things, behold I do a new thing.

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

We need to view this in God’s grace, compassion, and merciful forgiveness as to restore us in having a right relationship with Him, and thereby restoring our spiritual dominion, through Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15 V 44-54:

44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Jesus was our example that came from Heaven.  It its through our saviour Jesus Christ and God’s Holy Spirit that we now have God Himself working in our lives on Earth.

In essence then; we need to understand that God can only work through us apostolic ally on this Earth, if we seek Him and allow Him to work through us by prayer and works, by His Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name.

Hebrews 3 V 1-2:

1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

Therefore, as the world which is in darkness and deception, wrongly blames God for allowing bad things to happen.

It is Mankind’s (both male and female) desire to stay in darkness of sin and lack of spiritual knowledge, and thereby not allowing God into their lives apostolically in schools, governments, their own homes and families etc.

That actually puts the true blame on Mankind, not on God, as they do not allow God into their lives through Jesus Christ.

SCRIPTURES:

John 3 V 16-18:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Romans 3 V23:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Matthew 7 V 21-23:

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Proverbs 14:12:

12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Isaiah 59 V 2:

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

1 John 2 V 15-17:

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

2 Timothy 3 V 1-5:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

IT’S TIME RIGHT NOW TO GET SERIOUS WITH YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!
