In all of Christendom, what is it that we are fervently hoping for?
What great event is that which we long to see?
It is the return of Christ! Coming in the clouds of glory, up in the air, to claim Hi people forever. So that we may be with Him and rule with Him as Kings and Lords, by His design.
So why wait any longer?
Why not do it now? Yes, right now!
What is it that we read in:
John 14 V 15-23:
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Only that we already have the Triune God inside us! Now all we need is do is love Him, and obey His commandments, His Laws, and His Statutes forever, to remain in His Will.
How does this expectation fit into your own view point? And can you see how you can rule with Christ now, in your life today?
But even with this he helps us - Turn in our bible in:
Jeremiah 31 V 33:
“I will put my law in their inward parents, and write it in their hearts…What a promise!
What a beautiful confirmation of this promise we see in:
Stop a moment to consider this unique relationship between the Triune God of Heaven and Earth, and Mankind, As you do, prayerfully read through:
Psalm 23:
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Total submission to the Lord, brings perfect peace, and blessed assurance, that he will lead us to do what we are “Cut Out” to do, and dwell with Him forever, as His people.
As we discovered in Study 4, we have given God’s authority in all life’s situations. So then why should we even consider waiting unity He returns to act o these promises?
They are there for us to “Lay Hold” of by faith in, and belief in God/s Word as true. So decide today to be a Sheepcote, or an apprentice of the Holy Spirit of God, Lay hold of God’s Promises and Flex your Spiritual Muscles as it were.
Have you truly considered your relationship with God, and determined to follow His Spirit’s lead?
Let’s now see if we can join in King David’s response to this out laying of God’s promises. Our text verses:
1 Chronicles 15 - 21:
15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
16 And David the king came and sat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
17 And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O Lord God.
18 What can David speak more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.
19 O Lord, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
20 O Lord, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
21 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?
Reading through verses 16-19 we see that David acknowledged who God was, humbled himself and prayed to Him, as the God of Heaven and Earth. He realised that God had raised Him ups and esteemed Him greatly in the eyes of men; also that God knew, all His heart.
Verse 19:
David virtually says, “Let your will be done” and begins to worship God. He continues in:
Verses 20 and 21, praising God for all that He has done, and recounting all God has done for Him, and His deeds concerning Israel.
Here are some spiritual laws and principles displayed:
Humility of Self.
Contrition of heart (teachableness)
Acceptance or compliance with God’s Will.
Heart felt praise.
True worship in Word and in Spirit.
Prayer
To your knowledge, in all of your reading of scripture, have you see these spiritual laws/principles whilst in your quiet times, or in other studies?
