Updated: May 2, 2025

  • Altar of Wood - Altar of the Mind.

  • Covered in Gold for purity - Flesh covered with the blood of Christ for purity.

Exodus 30 V 1-5:

And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of shittim wood shalt thou make it.

A cubit shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof; foursquare shall it be: and two cubits shall be the height thereof: the horns thereof shall be of the same.

And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about.

And two golden rings shalt thou make to it under the crown of it, by the two corners thereof, upon the two sides of it shalt thou make it; and they shall be for places for the staves to bear it withal.

And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.

Hebrews 9 V 14 - Conscience cleared by the blood of Jesus

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Ephesians 2 V 13 - Made close by the blood of Jesus.

13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

  • The Mind, Minded, Disposed, Disposition.

  • No strange incense = evil thoughts, strange imaginings.

Exodus 30:9:

Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.

Leviticus 10 - V 1-3: Judgement from God = Fire

And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not.

And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

1 Corinthians 13 V 3-5:

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Isaiah 52 V 11: Leave evil ways.

11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord.

2 Timothy 2 V 21: Purge out evil from yourself.

Holy of Holies is the heart of man.

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Matthew 15 V 19-20:

19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Continual mulling over or meditating on thoughts in your mind will eventually go down into your heart and spirit, to which your soul either reacts or responds.

This is the principal by which our emotions are affected throughout our lives.

Every time we have a traumatic experience or disappointments, if we have nowhere to vent or off load these feelings and experiences, so as to find true peace ab out the situation and or the person who caused it, we will end up bitter and hateful towards them, because we will be filled with self justification.

This then grieves the Holy Spirit as he is unable to work both in the person and in the situation or cause.
